What's the best way to ensure that these delicious treats can still be enjoyed a few days later?

Freeze & defrost baked goods

Freeze baked goods: Freezing is ideal for longer storage.
Cool the baked goods as fresh as possible & quickly to below 18 degrees below zero. The packaging must be airtight (if necessary, use a reusable plastic bag and seal it tightly).
Bread will keep for around 4 months if frozen. Depending on their size, baked goods need approx. 3-6 hours at room temperature to defrost. The easiest way to defrost is overnight. However, it is important that the baked goods are defrosted in their original packaging. If individual slices are removed, cover them and leave to defrost, otherwise the slices may dry out.
To ensure long-lasting enjoyment, leave the products in their original packaging even after cutting or opening for the first time in the original packaging and seal well (possibly with clip tape).

Freezing & defrosting

Sandwich, toast and sliced bread is ideal for freezing and can also be removed by the slice.

Defrost at room temperature for maximum enjoyment. If you're in a hurry, toast can also be toasted straight from the freezer in the toaster.

Store baked goods & keep them fresh

When storing bread in bread bins, make sure that the material is breathable or that the bread bin has ventilation holes.
Bread boxes made of wood or stainless steel are suitable if the boxes can be closed but are not airtight. The air should be able to circulate well. Absolute cleanliness is essential. It is best to wipe out from time to time with a vinegar solution (1/10 vinegar, 9/10 water) and then allow to dry thoroughly.
Earthenware pots (also known as clay pots) are also suitable, provided the lid is air-permeable. It is best to place the baked goods with the cut surface facing downwards. The same applies here: remove old residues and crumbs and clean with a vinegar solution approx. every fortnight.
