Our Ölz baked goods are 99.9% vegetarian, with the exception of our
Ölz Fruit Punch Doughnuts, and are therefore suitable for a vegetarian diet .
A vegetarian diet includes all plant-based foods such as fruit, vegetables and legumes , as well as products from living animals like eggs and milk . Vegetarians refrain from eating meat, fish or seafood.
There are many reasons why a person may opt for a vegetarian diet and therefore renounce meat. Animal welfare, personal health and environmental aspects may be at the heart of the decision. Then there is the question of personal taste.
We make our products as natural as possible and only use natural colourings. Real carmine, a natural animal colouring, is used for the glaze of the Fruit Punch Doughnuts. We are currently looking for a natural, plant-based alternative and deliberately refrain from the use of synthetic azo dyes.
As a matter of principle, we only use vegetable-based fats. oils and emulsifiers in our Ölz baked products. The only exceptions are those products in which we process butter obtained from cow’s milk. In these cases, however, butter is clearly visible in the list of ingredients. We do not use animal fats either in the preparation of the dough or for greasing the baking trays and tins.
A vegan diet is a special form of vegetarianism. Vegans do not eat animals or animal products – in other words, they eat a purely plant-based diet.
We are committed to preserving resources and to treating our environment with respect.
With a passion for the product, we are unwaveringly committed to the highest quality standards and sustainable methods.
